Five quiet wins for more direct bookings

You rarely need a new website to win more direct bookings. You usually need fewer reasons for guests to leave.
1. Show the price sooner
If guests have to open three screens to see a rate, many will go to an online travel agent that shows it straight away.
2. Make mobile the main version
Most travel browsing happens on a phone. Test your booking journey on one, with one thumb, on a slow connection.
3. Answer the obvious questions
Parking, check-in times, dogs, accessibility. If guests can’t find the answer, they’ll find it somewhere else.
4. Give a reason to book direct
A better rate, a welcome drink, flexible cancellation: say it clearly, and say it early.
5. Keep your Google Business Profile current
For many guests, it’s the first thing they see. Make sure the photos, hours and booking link are up to date.
